Development of Pedagogical Competencies of Early-Career Teachers

She studied Pedagogy and Andragogy at the Department of Educational Sciences, Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University. Her professional focus is on adult education, the development of pedagogical competences, and creating the conditions for meaningful and effective learning. She has gained experience in the preparation and delivery of development and training activities for various target groups, including teaching digital skills to older people and organising long-term professional development programmes. At CERPEK, she is involved in running a programme for new teachers, works as a trainer and is responsible for creating content for the newsletter and social media. She regards the concept of lifelong learning as a key approach to life.

He graduated in European Studies from FSS MU, but during his studies, he professionally focused on supporting educational teams in developing modern and innovative teaching approaches. He works as a lecturer and facilitator. At MU, UK, and UPOL, he led courses focusing on intercultural learning, critical thinking, and educational activity design. During his time at the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research, he designed and implemented educational programs for youth and educators, focusing on international education, project management, and learning design. He also gained teaching experience in the non-profit sector across the EU, Western Balkans, and South Caucasus. At CERPEK, he focuses on teaching​ activities aimed at developing the competencies of university teachers.

She studied Pedagogy, Teaching History and Physics for Primary Schools at the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University. During her doctoral studies, she collaborated on several research projects at the Institute for Research in School Education and completed numerous international study and work stays within the EU. She was also awarded several grants, thanks to which she completed prestigious academic and research internships in Austria, Germany, and especially Canada. After moving to Canada, she obtained certificates from significant North American universities in instructional design, curriculum development, blended learning design, as well as adult and continuing education. She has been dedicated to professional development and adult education for over a decade, focusing primarily on lecturing, creating, coordinating, and leading educational programs, as well as research and analytical activities. She decided to leverage her extensive international experience from leading post-secondary and government institutions upon returning to the Czech Republic at Masaryk University, where she accepted a new challenge to build and launch the active operation of the faculty's CERPEK.

She graduated as a Teacher of Biology, Geology and Geography at the Faculty of Science of Masaryk Univerzity and Social Pedagogy at Tomas Bata Univerzity in Zlín and has completed long-term trainings in counselling and coaching skills. She gained her professional experience in the education, commercial, non-profit and public sectors. Her long-standing professional interest is the development and education of adults in various contexts. She deals with methodological, conceptual, coordinating and lecturing activities. At CERPEK, she prepares products for novice university teachers and supports them in acquiring pedagogical competencies. She aims to help to increase the quality of teaching and wellbeing of all participants.

She completed her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Sports Studies at Masaryk University, where her research focused on the development of teachers' pedagogical skills. She worked at the faculty as an academic staff member, where she was long involved in research activities, teaching in the field of pedagogy and didactics, supervising final theses, and working on research and development projects in formal and informal education. She has experience teaching at both university and secondary school level, which allows her to view pedagogical work in a broader context. Her professional interest is in promoting pedagogical excellence. At CERPEK, she specialises in the development of pedagogical competencies of moderately experienced teachers, lecturing, and acting as a mentoring supervisor.

Originally an academic in educational sciences. Later obtained qualifications in training and continuing education management and became passionate about L&D. She leads or participates in projects focused on employee development and training. She began her collaboration with CERPEK as a lecturer and later as an organizer of educational events. Currently, she is responsible for learning design, creating e-learning content and managing CERPEK's communication and promotion, including the center's website content management. She is also a principal investigator and team member of a project focused on wellbeing and inclusivity of employees and students at MU.
