We have research and practical evidence that education is relational. In other words, how much students learn and enjoy learning is largely influenced by their relationships with their teachers.

In this workshop, we will explore what, when, and how (not) to create a learning environment that allows for correct relationships and in which learning thrives..

The workshop aims to be not only more practical (65%) than theoretical (35%) but, most importantly, helpful (100%).

• how to set norms in the group to support learning
• what needs to address and how to address them at the beginning/break of the term
• how to maintain good relationships with learners without compromising the learning objectives
• what phases of group development do groups go through, and how this affects learning
• how to end the semester well so that there is something to remember, both in terms of the content of the learning and the atmosphere of our meetings
