How many lines of text should be on a presentation slide? What is a good ratio of text on the screen versus speaking notes? Which images should be included on the slides? In this interactive workshop, we explore the answers to these questions with the mission of transforming slides into robust learning experiences that benefit your learning goals and your audience, by putting into practice Mayer's Principles of Multimedia Learning into your ordinary presentations. We will discuss optimal approaches to the visual design of presentation slides, as well as technology tips for traditional presentation tools such as PowerPoint/Google Slides, and introduce you to new tools to try.
