Mgr. Tomáš Foltýnek, Ph.D., is an assistant professor at the Department of Machine Learning and Data Processing, FI MU. He is an expert on academic integrity and plagiarism, mainly focusing on the ethical use of artificial intelligence in education. He is the chair of the international association European Network for Academic Integrity and vice-chair of the Committee of the Pan-European Platform for Ethics, Transparency, and Integrity in Education (ETINED) at the Council of Europe and a certified research integrity trainer of VIRT2UE. He has led several national and international projects on academic integrity and plagiarism prevention and has organized conferences on this topic.

Generative artificial intelligence has become a big topic in recent months. GPT chat can solve many student challenges, and educators are beginning to look for ways to adapt to the new situation. This workshop is a follow-up to the recently published Statement on the Application of AI in Teaching at MU. It is intended primarily for teachers who have already experimented with AI tools and are interested in using AI positively in their teaching. However, we also welcome those who have only heard of AI and would like to learn more about its limitations and potential.

Lecturers
Filip Lux is a PhD student at the Centre for Biomedical Image Analysis (CBIA) at the Department of Visual Computing, FI MU. His research focuses on image data processing using artificial neural networks. He has several years of teaching experience at FI MU.
