This workshop will cover several topics and techniques to enhance your mental health and wellbeing. These are closely linked to the quality of life experienced on a personal and professional level. We will start by exploring different aspects of your wellbeing, examining its role in your life and introducing some tools to increase it. We will focus on identifying your strengths and then working with them. These play a crucial role in your sense of professional satisfaction, quality of work and work-life balance. In the next step, we will look at self-kindness in relation to inner criticism and our demands on ourselves. The workshop is based on 1) evidence-based information and 2) practical tips for everyday practice. The workshop includes sharing and peer support among participants.

Lecturer

I am a PhD student at the Department of Pedagogy. At the same time, I am a teacher currently working at a grammar school, where I focus on personal and social development and project-based learning. My dissertation research focuses on promoting wellbeing in children at the second primary school level. I run workshops on enhancing the wellbeing of pupils, MUNI students and those teaching in primary and secondary schools. I taught at an innovative primary school for seven years and have been educating adults on education in Junák for over ten years. Last but not least, I teach workshops for parents focused on creating a supportive relationship with their child through play.
