Today, the topics of wellbeing and inclusion are becoming increasing important both in the context of students' sense of belonging to their alma mater, but also in relation to the wellbeing and engagement of employees in the work environment. The WellTogether International Conference aims to explore these topics through the sharing of best practices, and new perspectives and expertise in these areas. We will focus on different aspects of educational training and also explore the perspectives of employers from different sectors.

This conference invites members of academia and professionals who work with people and are interested in improving wellbeing and promoting inclusivity in the workplace. The conference will include presentations, discussions and interactive workshops that will offer concrete tools and strategies to support these key topics.

Sharing and Inspiration through an International Dimension

A practice-oriented conference that aims to share good practice and experience in the field of inclusivity and wellbeing across different levels of education, drawing inspiration from the commercial sector, which is further ahead than educational organisations on these issues.

For British teachers Matthew Smith and Charlotte Sůkalová, student inclusion and wellbeing isgreat passion and one that they have worked on together at the school. • 15:30 – 16:15 | Ethical contemplations on Educational Equality versus Equity

Imagine being a parent with two children, and one of them breezes through their education and later lands a high-paying job, while the other faces difficulties in learning, putting immense effort into their education, and eventually securing a job that demands hard work but provides only a meager income to make both ends meet. Do you perceive this situation as just and equitable? And how should education provide various levels of assistance, depending on the needs, to ensure all children equal opportunities? And how are choices best made when educational budgets get cut?

This keynote offers a thought-provoking exploration of the ethical dimensions inherent in the discourse surrounding educational equality and equity. Delving into the heart of education, we will explore the nuanced distinctions between these two concepts and their implications for practitioners across various educational fields. We will engage in critical reflections on the ethical obligations and challenges when balancing the ideals of treating all children equally while acknowledging diverse needs. The keynote aims to stimulate meaningful dialogue on fostering inclusive educational environments, addressing systemic disparities, and promoting ethical practices that align with broader societal aspirations for fairness and justice.
