In the spring semester of 2021, a pilot survey was distributed to determine student perceptions of the quality of teaching in clinical courses. Three clinics with a total of seven teaching courses participated in this pilot. After modification, the survey can be extended to the entire faculty. The subsequent analysis and interpretation of the data will help to establish support mechanisms to improve the quality of this type of teaching and to develop the pedagogical skills of local teachers. CERPEK has been involved in the design of a survey to collect feedback and will also be involved in the implementation of possible training activities based on the needs of the Faculty of Medicine.
To support pedagogical competences, a series of Teacher Afternoons, short interactive workshops responding to the current needs of the department's teachers, is held.
In the period when teaching was being transferred to the online environment, in cooperation with the Department of Educational Sciences, Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University, we prepared methodological materials on the basic forms of online teaching, its principles and specifics, as well as on the possibilities of communication with students and their activation in the online learning environment. All these methodological materials (leaflets with infographics and web texts) are available on the FF MU website.
One-off workshops to open up pedagogical topics to doctoral students starting to teach.
Since the spring semester 2021, we have been running some workshops that combine the technological and didactic aspects of teaching, in collaboration with E-learning Office, Centre for Information Technologies. We have held workshops on the flipped classroom, formative assessment in an e-learning course and we have also addressed the issue of assignment completion in an e-learning course. In some of these workshops we collaborated with the Department of Educational Sciences of the Faculty of Education at MU.
In the second half of 2022, we joined to support the implementation of the Common University Core Courses (CORE). We are currently providing support to teachers in the form of tutorials and development sessions. We are also involved in the development of an evaluation system for these courses.
Within the framework of this project, from the second half of 2022 we are working together in two areas: the system of support for innovation in university teaching and the identification of excellent study programmes at Masaryk University.
