In the workshop, participants will practice how to set appropriate learning objectives for their teaching and will develop the ability to align the teaching and assessment methods they use with those objectives.

The teaching process and all the teacher's efforts should support student learning so that their learning outcomes are at their best. These should reflect the stated teaching objectives and expected learning outcomes for the particular topics covered. Excellent teachers, therefore, pay close attention to these in their teaching preparation. Further, their mastery lies in the selection of teaching methods, as well as criteria and methods of student assessment, that will lead to the achievement of these objectives.

In the workshop, we will first discuss how to properly set teaching objectives in relation to the content of learning and the target group of students. Following this, we will analyze the methods of teaching and student assessment most commonly used by workshop participants in their courses. To what extent do the chosen methods actually motivate students and lead to optimal learning with respect to the set objectives?
