language of the event

No one expects us to treat teaching at the university as aᅠpopular stand-up, but it is also not desirable to put metaphorical snakes to sleep. In this workshop, we will explore together what can and must happen to make teaching aᅠnatural venue for popularizing science while still pursuing educational goals. We will focus on how teaching and science could function as connected vessels that positively influence each other. Specifically, we will explore how you can popularize your research in your teaching. On aᅠmore general level, we will look at how to work with scientific theories and conclusions in an effective way in the classroom. We will look at the content of teaching and its form or delivery. This workshop can also serve as aᅠsignpost for didactic possibilities of popularising science in the classroom.
